Onboard Your Business
Turn ordinary business documents and owner knowledge into an evidence-backed operating context.
Onboarding teaches Oblive enough about the company to operate without repeatedly asking for basic facts. It is not a one-time prompt. It produces retained organization and department context with sources, evidence, validation, and an activation review.
Oblive prefers a focused question over an unsupported assumption. Expect it to ask about unclear ownership, current processes, constraints, customers, tools, department responsibilities, and success measures whenever the retained sources do not answer them.
The Onboarding Flow
Organization
Set the name, public website, operating timezone, and default currency.
Departments
Choose Growth, Engineering, Support, or a subset.
Integrations
Connect systems you know you need, describe their business use, or mark them unused.
Context
Optionally upload files or write useful organization and department context.
Validation
Answer evidence-specific gaps and review activation.
Each Continue action saves the completed setup step. If you leave or refresh before starting the onboarding conversation, opening the organization resumes the saved setup flow instead of skipping ahead to chat. Files selected in the final context step are uploaded when you explicitly start onboarding.
What You Need
- A concise description of the business and its current stage.
- Products, customers, positioning, constraints, and decision owners.
- Repeated workflows and escalation rules.
- Department-specific responsibilities for every selected department.
- Existing tools and the intended access level for each.
- Files that are current enough to guide real work.
Important Boundary
Onboarding sources become immutable after processing begins. You can add new context revisions later, but you should review the initial material before starting compilation.
There is no emergency-stop question. Stopping new execution is an operational control in the Work tab after activation, not organization knowledge.
